An increasing number of individuals with skin of color are seeking aesthetic procedures that address skin pigmentation disorders such as PIH, and other skin concerns including pseudofolliculitis barbae, acne scarring and more. It is critical for skin care professionals to be knowledgeable in treating people of color to avoid treatment-associated pigmentary alterations and keloid scarring.
